Diving straight into the madness with Todos Menos el Dolor, this opener moves from a bassline that sounds like it was recorded in an underwater dance hall, into lush, harmonic passages of synth and backward string arrangements. Rodriguez-Lopez takes the harmonious song out with the same dissonance that brought it in, reminding listeners that he’s still the same artist, just on a different set of instruments.
